PROJECT GENESIS
Sustainability
for future generations

Corals Down Under Australia prides itself on being a leader in sustainable coral harvesting. We don't just talk about sustainability; we practise what we preach. Based right here in Mackay, we operate from the very heart of the Great Barrier Reef. We find ourselves in a deeply privileged position in Queensland, getting to live exactly where the corals live.
To us, sustainability means deeply looking after the reefs we visit. Before our day even begins, we check every reef for any signs of stress or bleaching. Any concerns are immediately reported to both Queensland Fisheries and Pro Vision Reef—our industry's collective voice. This collaboration between custodian businesses, scientists, fisheries managers, and guardians of the reef is designed to mitigate ecological risks in our ever-changing climate.
Australia maintains exceptionally high environmental standards, meaning our fisheries management procedures are among the absolute best in the world. This strict oversight ensures our oceans are well protected, guaranteeing long-term ecological sustainability.
Furthermore, we actively propagate corals. This means we take small, careful clippings from our originally sourced corals and farm those fragments in an aquaculture environment until they reach the appropriate size before ever offering them to the market.
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven wonders of the natural world
